Small to medium deciduous tree that can reach 80+ ft. Prefers moist to wet soils but will adapt to irrigated landscapes. Leaves change color in Fall and are shorter and more closely bound on mature plants than Bald Cypress. Also, Pond Cypress can be found in greater numbers further south. Sun tolerant. Grows in Zones 7+. Landscape value, especially around lake and pond margins.
