Salt tolerant tree that reaches 45+ ft in southern most range. Landward of Red and Black mangroves. Creates dense forests in southern areas. Provides shoreline stability and creates habitat for wildlife. Sun, salt, and wind tolerant. Grows in Zones 9+. Commonly identified by small, tear-drop shaped seeds. Great for restoration projects.
