SFAEP/FAEP 2010 Annual Conference & Meeting

MIAMI, FL – November 19, 2010 – Aquatic Plants of Florida, Inc. will attend as a corporate sponsor and exhibitor the South Florida Association of Environmental Professionals and the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals 2010 Annual Conference held at Florida International University.

The focus of this year’s conference is habitat restoration and the challenges experienced by industry praticioners. The key note address will be given by Temperince Morgan, Director, Policy and Coordination Department, South Florida Water Mangement District. Ms. Morgan will discuss everglades restoration initiatives managed by the District.

Topics of presentation by event speakers will include: Everglades Restoration, Seagrass and Benthic Restoration, Coastal Habitat Restoration, Mangroves, Seagrass and Mudflats, Spoil Island Restoration, Ibis Isle Restoration Project, Restoration by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Oyster Habitat, Scrub Jay, Gopher Tortoise, and Wetland Mitigation Project Success Story, Invasive Species, and more. 

Aquatic Plants of Florida will create a “living” exhibit including coastal plant species that will enable attendees to test their plant identification skills. Aquatic Plants is a leading wholesale grower of native plants utilized by non-profit organizations and state and local government agencies to restore coastal habitats in the Southeast US.
