This workshop on Native Plant Community Restoration and Management in Florida and the Southeast addressed restoration in uplands and freshwater wetlands. The workshop covered such topics as:
Native plant propagation
Plant establishments
Control of exotic plants and other weeds
Wildlife habitat needs
Hydrologic considerations
The program covered techniques but also organizing and funding cooperative efforts. There was an invited panels of experts, volunteer papers, plus discussions among panelists, speakers and audience.
The event sought to make the workshop as practical and relevant as possible to meet the needs of practitioners and help solve problems associated with achieving restoration goals.
