Aquatic Plants of Florida joined dozens of other exhibitors and event sponsors at the 32nd Annual NAEP conference. The conference focused on demonstrating how environmental professionals of all levels are working to solve many of the world’s important issues through leadership in the areas of science, education, and the development of world-wide, national, regional, and local alliances.

NAEP brought together environmental professionals to discuss the latest research and knowledge on multidisciplinary issues, such as:

* The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
* Wetlands Restoration/Mitigation
* Sustainability/Smart Growth/Alternative Energy
* Environmental Issues in Real Estate
* Environmental Management Systems
* Water Rights and Water Quality
* Transportation
* Environmental Research and Studies
* Brownfield/Redevelopment
* Land and Watershed Management
* Public Participation
* Geospatial Technology
* Homeland Security

Through conference papers and posters, environmental professionals at all levels demonstrated how they and others are assisting in solving a variety of problems encountered in each of these areas. Other conference highlights included a tour of Disney’s Wilderness Preserve on Sunday, April 22nd, and a historical tour of downtown Orlando on April 25th.
