Aquatic Plants of Florida Grows Wholesale, Native Plant Operations

Sarasota, FL – November 19, 2007 – Aquatic Plants of Florida, Inc. (“Aquatic Plants”), an early provider of wholesale native plants and habitat restoration services, announced today they have completed growth initiatives to meet demand for 2008.

Since 1994, the company’s native plants and trees have been utilized primarily by state and local governments throughout the southeastern US for major wetland and coastal restoration projects. Additionally, the company’s customers include: theme parks, zoos, botanical gardens, power plants, military bases, land developers, mitigation banks, plant brokers, and native plant retail nurseries.

Company founder and CEO, Gil Sharell, Sr., said, “While new technologies and advanced growing methods contribute greatly to our production capacity, traditional farming infrastructure still remains the foundation on which we grow our business. As we move into our fourteenth year under the same name and business plan, we are prepared for upcoming contracts and native plant orders,” continued Sharell.

· Company builds 3 additional automated greenhouses, totaling 16,000 sf.

· Company installs additional 12 KW propane generator for backup power
· Company digs new million-gallon lake for aquatic plant propagation
· Company leases additional office and conference space
· Company heats existing houses, upgrades irrigation and water filtration systems
· Company increases seed storage capacity and expands seed holdings

Aquatic Plants grows over 135 native plant species. The company’s full range of services includes habitat restoration, wetlands mitigation, removal of exotic and invasive plants, contract growing services, maintenance and monitoring, and site evaluation.
